Meet the Instructor

Michael Naffziger is the Artistic Director at Indian River Charter High School, Schumann School for the Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA).  Michael is a TONY nominated Theatre Educator, and has been involved in the performing arts for over thirty years.  While at IRCHS several of Michael’s productions have been selected, by the Florida Thespians, as “Mainstages” and had the opportunity to perform at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and the Tampa Theater.  Before moving to Florida, Michael was a resident performer with the Redlands Civic Light Opera, directing for the Lewis Family Playhouse, and the owner and operator of the D-Gallery Theater in Los Angeles, California.  Michael has directed over 200 productions, musicals, plays, and showcases throughout the United States, including an invite to the world famous Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
